السلام عليكم ..حيا الله المهندسين...

بعد خبرة عمل اكثر من ثلاث 3.5 سنوات من العمل كممهندس نشغيل كيميائي في مصنع co2 افكر حاليا وبشدة لدراسة الماستر في تخصصي الهندسة الكيميائية او البيئية او الادارية...
بس لاحظت نفسي اميل كثيرا لهالتخصص carbon capture and storage وماوجدته حتى الان الا في اسكتلندا جامعة ادنبرة....وحسب علمي انها تقنية لتخزين ثاني اكسيد الكربون داخل الارض ...ومن هالشركات اللي تستخدم هالتقنية شلمبرجير...التخصص هذا جديد(لسه اوريا ) وماوجدته في اي جامعة امكن له مسمى اخر....وهذي بعض المعلومات...

[*]This is the only programme of its kind in the UK, giving you high-level skills and training across the rapidly developing area of carbon capture and storage (CCS).
[*]Global energy demands are still rising, and fossil fuels remain central to meeting those demands. CCS has been recognised as a way forward. Commercial trials are under way, and countries and industries are investing in this new technology. In the UK, all existing power stations must have a full-scale retrofit of CCS within five years of the technology being independently judged as technically and commercially proven.
[*]We offer you the choice of two streams to follow in this exciting area: Carbon Capture and Storage, which gives you the expertise to help manage projects and processes; or Carbon Capture and Storage Engineering, for specialist engineering expertise.

[*]Entry requirements
[*]The minimum entry requirement is a UK 2:1 degree, or its international equivalent, in an engineering or geosciences subject for the Carbon Capture and Storage programme, and in engineering or physical sciences for the Carbon Capture and Storage Engineering programme. Evidence of numeracy is also required.

[*]Programme description
[*]We offer you the choice of two streams to follow in this exciting area: Carbon Capture and Storage, which gives you the expertise to help manage projects and processes; or Carbon Capture and Storage Engineering, for specialist engineering expertise.
[*]Both streams draw on our world-class interdisciplinary academic research in carbon capture and storage, including insights gained from collaboration with a broad range of industrial stakeholders.
[*]Programme structure
[*]Both MSc streams have two semesters of lectures and practical classes, followed by a research dissertation of up to 15,000 words.

[*]Stream 1: Carbon Capture and Storage
[*]This stream gives you interdisciplinary skills across the entire field of CCS.
[*]The compulsory courses are:
[*]Carbon Economics
[*]Carbon Capture and Transport
[*]Carbon Storage and Monitoring
[*]Reservoir Engineering
[*]You also choose from a wide range of optional geoscience courses. Geology for Earth Resources is mandatory if you do not have a degree in geoscience.

[*]Stream 2: Carbon Capture and Storage Engineering
[*]This stream develops your understanding of carbon capture with a focus on engineering. This stream is particularly designed for graduates in engineering and physical sciences.
[*]The compulsory courses are:
[*]Engineering Aspects of CO2 Capture and Transport
[*]Geology for Earth Resources
[*]Thermodynamics for Power Plant Engineering with CO2 Capture
[*]CCS Group Design Project
[*]Separation Processes for Carbon Capture
[*]Advanced Power Plant Engineering with Carbon Capture
[*]CCS Systems and Economics
[*]Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics
[*]Geological Carbon Storage
[*]You also choose two optional courses from the School of Engineering.
[*]Career opportunities
[*]Graduates of Stream 1 typically enter careers in business, industry, government and non-governmental organisations in the field of low carbon energy production.
[*]Stream 2 graduates are ready for successful careers in the rapidly expanding industry of low-carbon energy production.
